11 Gloved Hand Positions – Cartoon Style

Don’t get me wrong, I love studying hand anatomy as much as the next artist. I could stare at pictures of an good abductor digiti minimi all day long, or I could work on my comic. Sometimes you don’t want a sixty minute anatomy lesson for your cartoon style illustrations. Sometimes you just want a quick peek at all the know good hand positions that have already been worked out by professional animators and artists. A while back I started creating my own reference sheets so I could spend less time making weird hand gestures and trying to draw them and more time telling stories.  Not sure why I never thought about sharing them, but today it occurred to me that I should. Enjoy, hope it helps you in your own comic pursuits.
